WHO SHOULD RESPOND
If you have not completed the Census, please take five minutes to respond today. You can respond online, by phone, or by mail.
Most households received their invitation to respond to the 2020 Census by now. Your invitation contains a Census ID number that you will use to respond. If you do not have a Census ID, you can still respond.
The Census counts everyone living in the United States and its five territories, regardless of status. One person should respond for each home about each person living in the home. You should count everyone who lives and sleeps most of the time in the home as of April 1, 2020. These include young children, foster children, roommates, and any family members or friends who are living with you, even temporarily.
