Spring break is almost here, and if you're looking for something active to do during the week, the Highwood Rec Center will have Open Gym available. Whether you want to shoot hoops, practice soccer skills, let the kids burn off some energy, or just find something to do when the weather can’t make up its mind, the gym will be open for drop‑in play. All ages welcome!

Welcome Old Plank to Highwood!

Residents may have noticed scaffolding and exterior work underway at 210 Green Bay Rd. The City is pleased to share that the activity is connected to the arrival of Old Plank, a long‑established furniture and design studio that has spent decades rooted in Chicago and is now making Highwood its new home.

Old Plank is known for its custom craftsmanship, antique restoration, and thoughtfully curated furnishings. Their team has shared that exterior work is expected to take roughly three weeks, depending on the scope of necessary repairs as they prepare their new space.
