On Saturday, May 17, the City of Highwood and the Highwood Chamber of Commerce proudly celebrated the grand opening of two new businesses: Tattoo Art Collective and Electric Collective Hair Lab. Founded by Orlando Camacho and Amanda Diambri respectively, the establishments officially opened their doors to a warm welcome and strong community support.
Upon discovering their businesses would be located across the street from one another, Orlando and Amanda embraced the opportunity to collaborate; they combined their creative energy and overlapping clientele for a joint ribbon-cutting ceremony on Highwood Avenue. The celebration drew an enthusiastic crowd, including Mayor Charlie Pecaro, City Council Members Robyn Bauer and Krista Hanson, Chamber Board President George Zamarron, Executive Director Jennifur Condon, and Board Member TJ Alexander.
These innovative entrepreneurs are a welcome addition to Highwood, bringing bold ideas and creative momentum to the City’s growing business landscape!
