LRS will begin collecting live Christmas trees at no additional charge beginning Wednesday, January 7, and will continue weekly throughout January. Please remove all ornaments, tinsel, lights, and tree stands before placing trees curbside for pickup.
The recycled trees are mulched at a licensed composting facility and used for soil enrichment, so please do not place trees in plastic disposal bags, or they will not be collected. Wreaths and garlands cannot be collected for recycling because they contain wire; please place them in your trash container.
Trees set out after Wednesday, January 28 will require a yard waste sticker. Stickers are available at most local grocery and hardware stores, as well as at City Hall, 17 Highwood Ave.
