Emergency Notification Network

The City of Highwood Emergency Notification Network is a notification system which sends a recorded message to telephone numbers that are part of a city-created phone number database.  In the event of an emergency, the City can contact residents, property owners and businesses to inform them of important information in just over one (1) hour.

Examples of situations where this phone tree may be used include: Amber Alerts, water main breaks, gas main shutoffs, fire hydrant testing, boil orders, scam artists, construction updates and other emergency situations.

Only your phone number, along with area code, and property address is required.  You may register more than one telephone number into the database, if you wish.

If you are a resident, property owner or business owner of the City of Highwood and would like your number to be included on the call list, please call 847.432.1924 x 575.

The City has the ability to only notify certain areas of town, when applicable; hence the reason we are asking for your property address.

Further, the City of Highwood will not share this telephone database with any third-party company, nor will your property address be distributed to the messaging company in tandem with your telephone number.

If you should have any questions about this phone tree notification system, feel free to call Highwood City Hall at 847.432.1924.
